HTC One becomes first HTCPro certified for business device

The HTC One has been in the news a lot over the past few days. With rumors of stock Android models, bigger 5-inch screens, and patent lawsuits from Nokia. Today we have more good news though, as the HTC One is the first device to become HTCPro certified for business use in the U.S. and will be taking on Blackberry and Samsung SAFE.

Google Glass labs reveals wink camera and always-on listening mode

Google Glass is still very much in the early stages, and obviously a developer platform with tons of features we may or may not see on the final product. Now that the wearable technology is getting in the hands of thousands of developers we're learning a few more tricks. Things such as wink options to snap photos, and even an "always-on" listening mode that makes using Glass much easier.

AT&T nickel and dimes users with new monthly “administration fee”

Today we've learned that AT&T has added a new monthly fee for all users that will earn the company millions of dollars. It isn't much, requiring subscribers to pay an additional $0.61 per month for what they're calling a "Mobility Administration Fee." Nickels and dimes folks, nickels and dimes.

Android 4.3 leaks on video with new camera UI

Today we've received potentially our first look at Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. A set of pictures leaked from the folks over at XDA showing an LG Nexus 4 with Android 4.3 at a mobile trade show. Luckily for us another leakster was also able to snag multiple photos and a video of the new camera UI. That's just one of many new improvements we're expecting too.

AT&T GoPhone users can now get HSPA+ and LTE speeds

Beginning today, AT&T GoPhone users can now get access to 4G speeds. This includes AT&T's HSPA+ and LTE networks, though it is provided the user has a supported handset. For now AT&T appears to have this aimed at those who already have a capable device and simply want to avoid signing a contract on something new. These new speeds are available at this time and will be available with the $65, $50 or $25 per month plans.

New Gmail for Android spotted in IO session video

Today some news has surfaced about a potential redesign of Google's Gmail for Android. What we're seeing could be something new that is coming soon, or instead just a mockup that was used by Google. What you see below is a screenshot from a Google I/O developer session last week, and it's a completely new Gmail with the slide-out navigation bar and all.

Galaxy S III and DROID DNA discounts coming to Best Buy

Best Buy is planning a weekend sale that will bring some discounts on select Android smartphones. There are a few handsets that will be available during this promotion and they look to be spread between two carriers -- AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Before anyone gets excited thinking there will be deep discounts on handsets such as the GALAXY S 4 or HTC One, we will offer the warning up front as these are older model handsets.

ZTE Grand S US release pushed until 2014

ZTE unveiled the Grand S smartphone back in January during CES. At the time they offered a complete set of specs and had the handset on display during the conference which provided for some hands-on time. Perhaps more important, the folks at ZTE had said the handset would begin rolling out during the first quarter and was expected to arrive for those in the US sometime later in the year.

And even though we've seen the smartphone plenty and reviewed the international and AT&T model, today we'll be giving you a quick look and unboxing Verizon's flavor. It's the same phone through and through and has their blazing fast 4G LTE, so lets take a look.

Google Glass Nest app brings voice controlled thermostat adjustments

Those using Google Glass now have another reason to consider using a Nest thermostat in their homes. The Nest is a learning thermostat that is touted as being the "next generation." Aside from the convenience of being able to control the Nest using a smartphone, the thermostat is said to be able to lower your heating and cooling bill by up to 20 percent. More to the point for today though, the Nest thermostat now has a Google Glass app.
